Happy Easter

Here is EmmaLynn carrying her Easter Basket Easter morning..
Here we are with EmmaLynn as close as we have come to a family picture so far.
Mommy and EmmaLynn on easter wit her basket!
When EmmaLynn found her basket she found her momma ducky and 2 little baby duckies, and also found the duck whistle. here she is carrying it all even the duck whistle! She can't blow it so instead she just tries to make the noise herself! It is sooo cute!

Here she is finding her basket... she took everything out and carried as much as she could around the house!

EmmaLynn went on her first Easter Egg hunt she went with Grandma Johnson and her aunt Brooke and cousin Christian on Saturday while Dan and I went skiing.  Here she is finding and egg.... sooo cute!

Here she is with Aunt Brooke and cousin Christian they had a lot of fun!

Coupon Ninja

This could possibly make the top of the most embarrassing things that I have ever done! Acutally, I don't think I have ever really felt truly embarrassed until yesterday!
My sister in law from Boise called us and told us Albertsons is having a huge sale on Cereal. If you buy 100 boxes of cereal it ends up that you are only paying 24 cents per box. Great deal right!?  So my other sister in law and I go to albertsons over in Hayden to get..... yep t
hat's right 100 boxes of cereal... now we were not buying it all for ourselves we planned on splitting it between 4 families that live up here...
So down the cereal isle we go. We started filling the cart... then another one... We stuffed 2 carts full top and bottom, with 100 boxes of cereal! We pretty much cleaned them out! It was all we could do to keep from laughing so hard so we didn't pee our pants! So off to the check out stand we go....  Now if you are thinking we were mistaken about the sale... don't worry it wasn't that bad.. We didn't have to put them all back!
Now the way this sale is supposed to work is you buy 7 boxes at a time.. after you buy 7 boxes you pay and then a 10 dollar off coupon prints... then you run the next 7 boxes and then scan the 10 dollar off coupon and another one will print off... so you pay something like 2.34 for 7 boxes of cereal and at the end yo
u still end up with a 10 dollar coupon good for anything in the store... well it didn't quite do that right at first it was printing 3 dollars off and 6 dollar off coupons. So the lady had to add the rest till a 10 dollar coupon printed off... and we just used that the whole time....
Everyone was staring at us... Probably thinking what anyone would think up in N. Idaho about some people buying this much cereal. (what the heck do you need that much cereal for... Crazy ladies) but it worked out we got all of our 100 boxes of cereal and on the way out of the store bags were falling out then we stuffed them all in my car to bring them home and sort them out... so 25 boxes per family and it only cost each family 6 dollars for 25 boxes.... My sister in law Brooke and I are COUPON NINJAS! LOL!
Needless to say I will probably never do that again, partly due to the embarrassment factor, but now that we have 25 boxes of cereal I realize Dan is the only one who eats the cereal! We wont be buying any more for probably a year!

this is not all the cereal.. just 75 boxes..  a lot of cereal though!

Spiritual Boost

Yesterday and today was a much needed spiritual boost for me. I attended the Time Out for Women here in Spokane.
I have been so busy getting this mom thing down and spend a lot of my sundays walking the halls with EmmaLynn cause she is not still or quiet. I have to admit I don't take enough time to do all the things I should be doing as often as I should be doing them.
So I had the opportunity to go to this event Friday last night and all day today! I got to hear Michael McLean sing his songs (he isn't the greatest singer) but the spirit in his songs and words were fabulous, and uplifting. Also a new group called Mercy River performed last night and today. I absolutely loved them, it was beautiful harmony I actually got the cd that night, and today we had Hillary Weeks perform. These people are so blessed to have such beautiful voices to be able to carry these inspiring songs to everyone! I am a music person. There is so much in a song and I love to hear the musician tell the story behind it and open up a whole new picture. The music is healing and inspiring and makes me feel wonderful!
The women and men who spoke were absolutely wonderful also. They were funny and carried something each in their messages that I really needed to hear. They spoke about being Peacemakers and being joyful. They talked about teaching your children and about improving our marriage relationships and turning your life over to the Lord and letting him guide you where he wants you to be! It was so wonderful!  Some of the speakers were Jane Clayson Johnson, Chieko Okazaki, Doug Brinley, Mary Ellen Edmunds and Carolyn Rasmus. I can't quite put into words they way I feel. My heart is full and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend and be uplifted in a way that I desperately needed to be! I wish I could have shared it with my sisters!  I certainly walked away today with joy for the music and the words that were shared with us there! I can't wait till the next one!
