My sister in law had her baby this weekend, which makes 17 grandchildren on the Johnson side of the family with 18 soon to follow this April. It makes it easier to have someone else having the babies that way I am not too baby hungry before we are ready for another.
The paper route eased up a bit with the roads finally cleared of all the ice and snow. I am hoping it will stay that way. At least as long as I have to keep it up.
Dan was so sweet to me the other morning he went and got the papers for me so I didn't have to get up as early! What a guy! He is such a sweety and so good with EmmaLynn too! She gets so excited when he comes home! She loves her Daddy!
EmmaLynn is all over the place now! It is so fun to have her walking and she is learning words now. She will say "no" and does it so cute... she is a feisty little girl. She was playing with her cousin and anytime he tried to push a button on the leapfrog piano, she would push his hand away and say "NOOOOO"! Time to teach her to share the toys, but it is so cute! That is, as long as she isn't saying it to me when I am trying to get her to eat her food! She also learned how to say "UH OH" so when something falls she says "uh oh". The other morning I woke up to hear her saying it over and over again.. when I opened her door she was just laying there looking at the ceiling saying "uh oh" it was soooo cute! Every now and again she will say momma.... but usually when she is upset. She also has 2 of her top teeth coming in at the same time.... I love watching her grow and learn new things! The next thing I want to teach her to say is "oh no".
Her birthday is right around the corner I can't believe it. Time has just flown by and faster as she has gotten older.
There is a group of girls in my ward that started a play date every week so the kids could play and the mommys can hang out and talk. It has definitely made life a little more exciting! The girls are so fun and they also do a girls night once a month! It has made moving here a bit more worth it.. I don't make friends too easily unless they start the conversation. I guess you could say I am shy, but once I get to know people it is easier to have friends. It has never been a bother in the past cause I do have my sisters and sister in laws that I hung out with and every now and again see some of my high school friends... It just makes it more fun to have other people in the ward to hang out with! Plus EmmaLynn loves to be around other little kids it helps her build social skills... So these are the new things that have come about in my life recently. Life is great!

I'm so glad things are going so well for you! That play group sounds like fun. My ward does that, but I haven't gone yet since Kaylee is still so young and because I think the group has been going on for awhile and I'm too shy to go and be the new person. Maybe once Kaylee is older I'll get brave.
i know how you feel about being the new person. I only ended up going cause a couple of the girls invited me... conversation happens easier when you have a baby...
Wahoo for playgroups, ESPECIALLY before your kids reach the school age. Both mother and child(ren) need a break from eachother and social interaction.
