Best Daddy Ever!!

EmmaLynn was dying to play Jenga with Dan all day long. Finally he took a break from his homework to play with her. After their first game this is what they ended up doing together. Building this awesome tower! They both had a blast together!

Another creation of theirsHere Ezyas is just chilling with Dad watching him play baseball on the wii. He sat there for a good 30 minutes just hangin out with Daddy!!

We thought this was so cute too. I had a meeting after church with the bishop and I didn't want Ezyas to fall asleep till we were ready to leave. (I wanted him to sleep longer when we got home so I could take a nap too) Well, he fell asleep and in an attempt to wake him up and keep him awake, Dan put him up on his shoulders like this.. needless to say it was not effective. He just laid his head down anyway.. poor tired boy!

Happy Valentines Day!

Valentines Day this year was pretty fun for us. EmmaLynn and I made cupcakes and delivered them with Valentines cards to all of our friends in the neighborhood. Then we went to Pappa Murphy's and got a heart shaped pizza for dinner.
Align CenterAfter pizza the kids got their Valentines from us. We shared the chocolate.

Cute kids and a fake smile from EmmaLynn
Dan With one of the cupcakes we kept for ourselves. The pictures is kinda dark, sorry. It was a good valentines day for all! We enjoyed the warm and sunny day!!

Bother and Sister

EmmaLynn, in her words, "doctoring" Ezyas. I love it when they play together!

We had a night where all the military housing families got to eat and bowl at the bowling ally on base for free. It was lots of fun and the kids particularly enjoyed the little race car video games. do you think this shot shows what kind of drivers they will be? :) haha.

One Sunday morning we were trying to wake EmmaLynn up to get her ready... Ezyas decided he'd go ahead and help out with it.

He wasn't any more effective in getting her up as we were. This girl loves to sleep!

Rainy Days

So It has been quite some time since I have updated. Here are a few pictures of some fun times we had on some of the rainy days here in Louisiana.
We tried out one of the local bounce places. It was very fun for the kids and well worth the 7 dollars!
EmmaLynn is sitting at the top waiting to go down.

And this is Little Man going down the baby slide.. he had to scoot down it.. but he loved it!
What a happy boy!
Another Day EmmaLynn and I decided to make some pinkalicious cupcakes! Pinkalicious is one of her favorite books!

And here is just a fun picture of EmmaLynn in her Daddy's hat. She looks so cute huh?!

Christmas Day

Christmas Morning, I was so excited. I just knew that EmmaLynn would be so excited about Santa coming. We had been talking about it all week, and she was so excited. This is what the kids came down to on Christmas morning.

Under the Blanket is the Kitchen set for Miss EmmaLynn.

I carried her downstairs after she woke up and wanted to go potty. She was not in the mood to get up. She was feeling pretty sick. So I carried her down.

Opening stockings was fun. I was hoping for more excitement, but she was happy and forced some smiles for me.
Here is one of those forced smiles I am talking about!!

I think Ezyas had more fun with the wrapping paper. Is he not the most handsome boy ever!?!

Love his little smile. He got tons of new boy toys. No more of EmmaLynn's girly toys!
She got a new mini my little pony and a movie to go with it.
below she got her Tag reader!! She absolutely loves books, and this tag system is the coolest thing ever!! I got a real steal on it too!
I think this little wooden toy was Ezyas's favorite toy, because it was already ready to play with!! and wasn't stuck inside a box still.
He even got his own mini laptop. Although EmmaLynn understands what to do with it better. he just likes to push the buttons on it.
EmmaLynn got a Tinkerbell scooter. She loves it. although she didn't even play with it till a week later when she was finally herself again.

She got another Llama book too.. We have that series as well. She loves books and loves the Llama books, some days are like read a thons with her.

Ezyas with Daddy!
Then end of the gifts Daddy was going to help with.
Ezyas wasn't sure he wanted to stick around for that one!!
but I think we finally convinced him to rip a bit of paper off to play with. Then, I am sure Dan ended up unwrapping the rest while I took some of the other toys out of the boxes to put together. It was a really great Christmas other than the fact that EmmaLynn was not her normal happy excited goofy self. It was quite sad. She ended up falling asleep anywhere she sat down for a minute. It wasn't till about a week later she finally played with any of her toys.. The saddest part of it all, was the night she asked if Santa could come again now that she was better.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!

EmmaLynn when all the presents were opened.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we called up Grammy and Grandpa Johnson on Skype so they could watch the kids open a few of their presents from Grammy and Grandpa.

The kids loved their jammies, even though Ezyas we bent on escaping he decided to hang in. We went out last minute to get these jammies for grandma for the kids cause some how the other ones got lost somewhere along the way.

EmmaLynn opened one of the books. I should note, she was not feeling well so the super fake smile is just because she was ready to go to bed and was feeling terrible. Poor girl. She did really love the book it is one in 3 of the Ladybug Girl series. She loves books more than anything!!Ezyas had more fun playing with the wrapping paper than anything else!!

After we put the children to bed at 7:45 we spent the rest of the night wrapping presents and watching Prince of Persia. It was a fun evening getting everything all ready. We set up the kitchen and got it all ready for the morning. I was sooo excited and couldn't wait to see how Emmalynn would react!! little did I know....

Our New house

We are so excited to have moved into our New house in Louisiana. I love how much storage it has and we have plenty of room. Now all I need is a little bit of decorating help if you can't tell. We've been here about a month already and I still have nothing up on my walls or anything. Anyone who's any good at decorating feel free to give me pointers

Master bath and shower. I still haven't found the perfect decor. So it is pretty simple.

Master bed room. Is bigger than this picture shows, but this is as good as I could get. we're fixing to get a new bed and bed set eventually and move the queen to EmmaLynn's room. Gotta save up for that.
Hall to the master bedroom. Yes that is a double closet on the left with lots and lots of shelves for storage. I love it!!
Kids bathroom. I decided on monkeys. Can't go wrong there. I have some rugs to put in still. But it turned out quite nice.

Ezyas's room part above and part below

EmmaLynn's Room above and below. Yes, I have blankets up over her windows... This is because I am Ghetto and haven't decided what to make her bed spread and want to make or find curtains to match. Eventually it will happen.

Stairs up.. The door straight ahead is yet another closet with lots of shelves and storage.
living and dining room area. downstairs bathroom. it is small but good enough for what we need. The other 2 bathrooms are huge.
Hall to the garage straight ahead. to the left Laundry room to the right downstairs bathroom.
Living room with the ottoman which doubles as a gate to block the stairs although, Ezyas is now quite good at maneuvering the stairs in both directions.
Mini hall with coat closet to the right.
Playroom/ sitting room

Kitchen with pantry and other closet we keep the stuff we don't want Ezyas into.

I am so excited to have so many cupboards. I have never had this many in my life. I can fit all my dishes and spices and food and still have extra room for whatever else I have.. (which is nothing) but still it's so exciting!! I also have tons of counter space for baking (if I ever decide to start that again) or just for what ever. I love love love it!!!! Don't you?!!?
