Being a Mom

I was just thinking about it today.... Last time this year I was still pregnant with EmmaLynn... I was so ready to have her.... I was working at T-mobile which had it fun times but also had it's boring days.... It seems like that was a lifetime ago though... I couldn't believe I was going to be a mom.... Now it feels like I have been a mom forever. Time goes by so fast but also so slow at times...

EmmaLynn has grown so much. she is 10 months old now, and at the start of the year she took her first few steps on her own. she doesn't do it all the time, just when she is in the right mood. All the rest of the time she prefers 1 finger and walks around just holding on to our finger... At church walking down the hall she squeals when she sees another little baby or other little kids... She is so outgoing it is so cute, definitely her dad shining through... I am not the outgoing one at all... it takes someone else to get a conversation going then it is a lot easier for me to chat...  She is waiving and saying hi and bye.... kinda hers sounds like "hhha hhhah" and "ba ba ba bbba" as her little voice goes up! Soooo cute...  also every now and again she will pick up the phone and say "hhha hhah"
Just the other day she was handing me things and I kept telling her "Thank You" then when I handed her something she said "Knk Kyu" then today I was handing her Cheerios and she kept saying "knk Kyu" ( I am not sure if it was coincidence or if she was really saying thank you but i like to think that is what she was doing!) It was sooooo adorably cute! I can't believe how quickly they learn. I am going to start teaching her sign language...

I am still working on getting pictures downloaded in the mean time.. I need to have Dan teach me how to do it and then find them after they are downloaded. So sorry but I am working on it!

Starting at about 10 months is my favorite age... they are old enough to get where they want and the whole world is new to them. It's quite amazing to watch their discoveries... enjoy- it goes by waaay fast!
